2020 NAF Conference
Please Note: We regret to inform you that the 2020 NAF Conference scheduled for July 3 and 4 in Edison, New Jersey is now indefinitely postponed due to the COVID-19 situation. We hope to announce future plans in the upcoming months, so please check this webiste for updated information. Dear Friends,
We hope you are keeping well. We are writing to regretfully inform you of the indefinite postponement of the 2020 NAF Conference. In light of the COVID-19 situation, NAF board members, along with the host family of Rev. Louis Meren Ao, unanimously agree that this decision is in the best interest of the health and wellbeing of attendees to the conference scheduled for July 3-4 in Edison, New Jersey.
Although it is possible that federal and state authorities will lift restrictions on travel and large gatherings in the upcoming months, we also believe that the country, and particularly the New Jersey/New York area, will continue to face numerous challenges that will hinder us from successfully holding our conference in July.
While we were very much looking forward to the event and in connecting with friends from across the Naga American community, we also want you to know that we remain hopeful and look forward to holding this conference sometime in the near future. To this end, the NAF board will be reconvening in early fall to reassess the situation and to initiate a plan to reschedule the conference. We will keep you updated.
At this time, we would like to extend our gratitude to Rev. Louis Meren Ao for graciously offering to host the conference, as well as to the musicians and organizers that had committed to contributing to events this July. We hope to be working with you soon enough.
To everyone, we hope you and your family, both here in the US and in India, are keeping safe and healthy. We continue to think and pray for the welfare of all members of our community.
